BiteCastPro LLC (“BiteCastPro,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you download, install, or use the BiteCastPro mobile application (the “App”). By using the App you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We do not request or require personally identifiable information (name, email address, phone number, precise location) unless you choose to provide it. The data we do collect includes:

• An anonymized device identifier (random hash)
• Basic usage analytics (screen views, button taps, error logs)
• Environmental and fishing inputs you enter (species, weather notes, etc.)

2. How We Use This Data

• Operate, maintain, and improve App functionality
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues
• Generate aggregated, de-identified statistics to refine our bite-forecast algorithms

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data. We may share aggregated or de-identified statistics with research partners or service providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements.

4. Storage & Security

Data is stored on secure servers located in the United States and/or encrypted on your device. We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect it against loss, misuse, or unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is 100 % secure; you use the App at your own risk.

5. Your Choices

You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the App. To request deletion of previously stored data, email privacy@bitecastpro.com. We will erase or anonymise your data within 30 days unless we are legally required to retain it.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-App or on bitecastpro.com. Your continued use after the “Effective Date” of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The App and its forecasts are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BiteCastPro shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damages arising from your reliance on the App’s predictions or content.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BiteCastPro and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the App or violation of this Policy.

10. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Peoria County, Illinois.
